We provide care for all gynecological problems at the highest medical level.
Cancer screening
Our practice focuses on detailed, individual and empathetic advice.
In principle, a gynecological examination should be carried out once a year in order to detect possible diseases at an early stage.
From the age of 20, all patients are entitled to an annual Pap smear from the cervix. In addition, a screening for a chlamydia infection is carried out up to the age of 25.
From the age of 30, the breasts are also palpated.
From the age of 35, the statutory health insurance funds will only reimburse the PAP smear combined with a test for HPV (Human Papillomavirus) every 3 years.
However, we still recommend annual check-ups at intervals, as abnormal cells and precancerous lesions can be detected early through a cervical smear. Early surgical intervention can then remove these precursors and prevent progression to cancer.
Contraceptive counseling
We advise you on all common contraceptive methods, such as natural family planning, the pill, Nuvaring, depot injections and hormone sticks.
We have special expertise and experience with all common spirals. For many patients, these represent a very good hormone-free or low-hormone alternative.

Myom consultation
Fibroids are benign muscle lumps in the uterus. About 20% of women develop fibroids in their lifetime, and fortunately most of them do not require treatment. Depending on their location and size, fibroids can also lead to symptoms such as excessive menstrual bleeding, infertility, repeated miscarriages or even the urge to urinate.
In such a case, therapy can be useful. In some cases, an operation may be necessary, which is then carried out either through the vagina (hysteroscopy) or via laparoscopy. Open abdominal surgery may only be necessary rarely and for very large fibroids.

Endometriosis
Endometriosis is the presence of the uterine lining (endometrium) outside the uterine cavity (cavum uteri). The main symptom is usually cyclic lower abdominal pain; there is often a problem becoming pregnant (sterility). Endometriosis is one of the most common gynecological diseases, which predominantly occurs during sexual maturity and is considered to be estrogen-dependent. Diagnosing endometriosis is often not easy. However, endometriosis cysts on the ovaries can be seen very well on ultrasound. We have a lot of experience here.
A blood test is now available that is very reliable, but is not covered by statutory health insurance companies.
The final diagnosis of endometriosis can only be made using a laparoscopy. The endometriosis lesions are removed and the pathologist confirms the diagnosis under a microscope.
Mild hormonal therapy is usually necessary afterwards to avoid relapses. If you want to have children, this should be realized as soon as possible.
Hormonal disorders
We have extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of all hormonal disorders in women, such as PCOS syndrome, menstrual cycle disorders and hair loss.

Urinary incontinence - pelvic floor problems
Urinary incontinence (involuntary loss of urine) is a very stressful issue for many women, which unfortunately often receives too little attention. We offer you a detailed, painless urodynamic examination to determine the exact type of incontinence and, if necessary, initiate appropriate therapy.
We offer a wide range of painless and effective therapies in our practice, such as treatment with EMSELLA or genital laser therapy in our laser center .
